JoLu Karting (jolu.karting) is an independent directory of UK karting venues, clubs, shops and championships. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what your rights are. We have written it in plain English.

What we collect and why
Listing submissions
When you use the “Submit a listing” form on the About page, we collect the name, website URL, listing type, and any notes you provide. This information is used solely to review and potentially add your venue or business to the directory. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Location / postcode search
If you use the postcode search feature, your postcode is stored in your browser only (via localStorage). It is never sent to JoLu's servers. Your postcode is sent to postcodes.io, an open-source UK geocoding service, to resolve it to map coordinates. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, or by using the “Clear location” function on the tracks or map pages.
Track and venue photos
Photos of karting venues are fetched server-side via the Google Places API. This happens on our server, not in your browser, so no personal data is involved in this process.
Analytics
We do not currently run any analytics service (no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels). If this changes, this policy will be updated before any analytics are activated.

Advertising cookies are only set if you choose “Accept all cookies” via the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, which will cause the consent banner to reappear.
