About this circuit
Woodthorpe Kart Club (aka 'Strubby') was formed in 1978. The club utilizes a 0.46-mile (724-meter) circuit set up along the original perimeter track of the old airfield. The Woodthorpe Kart Club (WKC) is an Independent Kart Racing (IKR) club for kart owners. We host friendly, family-oriented race meetings on the fourth Sunday of every month, with practice on the preceding Saturday. The racing caters to various classes of karts, but please note the club does not hire out karts to the public—it is for independent kart owners only.
